What is event videography?
Basic Videography is our most simple film offering-- our team will arrive 30-45 minutes prior to the event with appropriate cameras and audio equipment for your project. We film the event all the way through, and then we edit it together cutting between cameras for an easy-to-watch, cinematic video of your event. If you're familiar with filmmaker parlance, you might know of this as a "Multi-cam Production"
Event videography/promotional video is the most effective way to increase awareness of your event and ensure it's continued growth year on year. Our event videos are specifically tailored to showcase the best moments and create timeless and exciting videos encouraging visitors to your next edition, to gain recognition, and help to secure new sponsorship deals. Please contact us for an event video quote, or to chat to our production team.
The art of event videography is somewhat similar today as it was back when the camcorder was first introduced. The main differences lie in the improved video camera technology and equipment. Advances in high definition technology are being applied to event videography.
Costs associated with event videography
The average cost for a videographer to film your event is somewhere
between $750 to $1,000. The cost of the videographer will vary based the number of hours of raw footage, the size of the video crew required, the amount of editing and retouching, the final length of the video, the location, and any additional services you request. Some videographers charge by the hour for their services.
Most of the time when someone reaches out to me for event videography, it's too expensive for them. I usually do
commercials / products and I only quote my day rate + gear rate + travel costs + preproduction (if any) for events. Most of the time they want to include editing as well for free lol.. Not sure if I'm just getting lowball offers or it's the standard for events. Any insight helps!
If your event media budget is less than £600, it’s probably best to look at freelancers as cheaper options. Freelancer costs can be anything between £200 – £600 depending on their experience, the equipment they use, and how competent they are at editing. If that is still too expensive, you might want to look for students or junior videographers who are looking to build their portfolios.
